These participants were selected from Brilliant High School Kazzo by random sampling. Results: Majority 234(61%) of the respondents had never been given carrier guidance on professional courses like nursing. This is one of the reasons these students do not want to join the nursing profession. Only 60(40%) of the respondents were given carrier guidance about nursing by their teachers. Majority 324(84.4%) of the respondents did not have health workers in their families, these students had nobody to emirate and they had little or no interest in the nursing profession. Majority 284 (74%) of respondents said that they were not willing to join the nursing profession after high school because they were intending to make money in other professions. Conclusions: There was clear evidence that female students would wish to join the nursing profession more than male students.
