dc.description.abstract | Introduction:
Worldwide, satisfaction has been examined on level of employees in lieu to the job-performance while clients or beneficiaries to the services have been given a little crew. Realizing the lacuna to this extent, the researcher thought about a study in which she could examine satisfaction among the patients in health centers.
Objective:
Thus; factors affecting patients’ satisfaction with nursing care provided at night in Kayunga hospital. Among others; the study aimed at determining how social demographic factors affect patients’ satisfaction, identify the level of patient’ satisfaction in Kayunga hospital; and to determine the nursing care factors affecting patients’ satisfaction.
Methodology:
A cross-sectional research design was used in which 266 respondents were recruited. Stratified sampling technique was used to obtain the respondents in the medical, surgical and maternity wards of Kayunga hospital. The findings collected revealed that most patients were not satisfied with nursing care provided at night.
With some slight variations on the different aspects of nursing care, it was also found that nurses have endeavored to serve their patients in relation to the medical ethics.
Recommendation:
In recommendation, health workers should involve patients and their relatives as much as possible in the decision making on the kind of treatment that the patient should receive. This will contribute to the patients’ satisfaction by the patient feeling appreciated and involved in their treatment hence improve on the health seeking behavior of the community. | en_US |
