The specific objectives of the study were; to establish workers level of knowledge on safety measures, to establish the effect of sociodemographic factors on adherence, to determine the practices and attitude of workers towards the use of PPE. A descriptive cross sectional study using a study sample of 201 respondents was employed using both Quantitative (Questionnaires) and Qualitative (Key informants and Observation) data collection methods were employed. Results from the study indicated 195 (97%) of the respondents were knowledgeable while 5 (2.5%) were not, the study also reflected 93 (46.3%) of the respondents had negative attitude towards the use of PPE while 102 (50.7%) had a positive attitude. The results showed an association between adherence and gender at p – value of 0.002 and adherence and occupation at p – value of 0.026, an association between number of years an individual has spent at work and adherence at p-value 0.011 and an association between occupation and adherence at p-value 0.028. Based on the study, it was evident that the main factor affecting adherence to safety measures among employees of crown beverage limited was negative attitude of the employees towards the use of PPE.
